Hi Everyone, I attended an approved course of training and I have attained my diploma in Hopi Ear Candling. I am now offering this as part of my holistic treatments.
A little bit about Hopi Ear Candles....
Hopi Ear Candles are hollow tubes made of cotton soaked in beeswax, honey and herbs. When lit, the candle acts like a chimney, causing the warm air inside it to rise and creating a vacuum at the bottom. This vacuum gently stimulates the ear facilitating removal of impurities and helps with the breakdown of ear wax.
What Hopi Ear Candling does and what it can help with
Hopi Ear Candling is a relaxing therapy to clear the ears, inducing stress release from colds, tension headaches, stress and tendency to vertigo, as well as enhancing your well being, improved clarity and alertness.
How Long does the treatment take and what's involved?
The treatment will take approximately 45 mins and will include a mini facial which will help to stimulate circulation of the area which has been treated.
After a thorough consultation, you will be asked to lie down on the bed with your ear facing upward, an ear candle is lit and gently inserted whilst you relax. Let the aromatherapy oils from the candles soothe and relax as the treatment gets to work.
What will I experience?
You will be very relaxed and calm, you may experience a soft crackling sound from the candle, this is absolutely normal and means that the candle is creating a vacuum around your ear in order to stimulate it thus helping to facilitate removal of impurities and help to break down excess wax. (please note that it does not suck the wax out of your ear - this is a typical myth that occurs with Hopi ear candling) however over a course of treatments it can help to loosen the wax.
